True enough, but -- refine your search terms, maybe? Because I 'm sure the idea's out there, and that the thesis has been put forth a number of times, but phrased differently.
Just as with the following...

of course, it's a statement of the obvious... which makes it more surprising really that that specific phrase doesn't pop right up. not to say it hasn't been used in - gasp - undigitized print before.
